How Does It Work?

Sponsor.ie makes it easy for you to collect donations for the charity you are raising money for. It allows you to keep your supporters up-to-date on what you’re doing, and it rewards you for the amazing thing you’re doing.

Once you register with Sponsor.ie you’ll be given your own profile page. As well as giving a few details about yourself to your supporters it also displays the awards and achievements you’ve earned. Your profile page also displays your current and past fundraising campaigns.

A ‘campaign’ is a particular event you are taking part in to raise money for a particular charity. It could be a marathon for Barnardos, climbing a mountain for Dogs Trust or waxing your legs for ActionAid. You could be raising money in memory of a loved one. Each campaign could be anything, with the ultimate goal of raising as much money as you can for a cause you believe in.

Once your Campaign is set up Sponsor.ie helps you promote it through e-mail, Facebook and Twitter to help you let as many people know as possible. You can continually update your page with blog updates, photos and videos to keep your supporters up-to-date and interested and to keep them giving.

We think what you’re doing is fantastic and you deserve to be rewarded. So as you and your campaigns reach certain milestones you’ll receive awards. Our top fundraisers throughout the year will receive prizes. So besides helping out the charity you also get the recognition you deserve. Everyone is a winner!
